    I am leaving a 4 star review instead of a 5 star due to an incident that happened today in which I was traveling down route 41 on my bicycle. There is a steep hill that leads down toward Collier's restaurant at which point the incident occurred. There was a long line of cars and all was fine until the last car, the police car, passed with a loud extended beep. I'm older and such a seemingly innocent beep could have resulted in actually causing more harm (and what good could possibly come from the beep in the first place?). To curtail any negative comments I may receive for this statement I'll bother to leave the details as to the area of road in question and why I may have been found worthy of bothering to beep at in the first place. 1.) The road hasn't any area for a bike to be located aside from the approximately 8-inches between the concrete curb and the solid roadway line. 2.) I travel down that road frequently (on bike) and was facing traffic for a number of reasons (some of which are the fact that the opposite side of the road has some really dangerous buckling of the road causing the bike to bounce precariously, that coupled with the drainage grates which could catch a tire sending one head-over-heels is another reason, not to mention the fact that I feel safer seeing the potentially deadly car just in case I need to bail due to a driver failing to see me as 8 inches doesn't leave much margin for error). There's more but I have more pressing matters to tend to right now. As for the reason for 4 stars (and not 3, 2, or 1 star rating) is due to many factors. For instance, I caught on camera one early morning (2am?) as an unknown person appeared to be prowling on my porch as another person was looking around below. The person on the porch was peeking through the glass of the door; when I opened the door to find out if I could help them, the two ran away. It was no big deal to me but thought it wise to call the police and inform them that IF there were any crimes that evening, my video feed might help them with their identifying a possible suspect. I hadn't intended to make any sort of big deal about it but the officer insisted on coming to inspect the video representation of the trespasser. Suffice to say, the officer was professional, RESPECTFUL, and considerately informed me of some of the crimes which were occurring in the neighborhood. In short, I feel safer knowing our officers are not demeaning, corrupt, or instigators pro-revenue generation. And as a quick closure, I've heard from more than a couple of my visitors of how they are mindful of how they drive here in the German Township and can't help but to wonder if that is also why there is less riff-Raff here than in the surrounding areas. Sorry so long-winded (did I mention I'm old?).
